About us

Barbara Todd Ballet is one of Tasmania’s longest running ballet schools. We were established in Hobart in 1961 by former Royal Ballet Company dancer Barbara Todd and have operated continuously in the same location ever since.

We offer ballet classes for all ages from pre-school students and up.

We teach the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet syllabus and employ fully qualified and registered teachers.

Quality & Experience

We focus on teaching ballet and have the training and experience to do this well.  We value and care for all our students providing high quality teaching both for our casual and more serious dancers.  

Ballet is the foundation for most forms of dance. We create this strong foundation giving opportunity to our students as they grow and develop.

We know the body is forever and prioritise safe dancing and injury prevention.
